How can the FHA help me buy a home?
The Federal Housing Administration, part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, encourages lenders to grant loans to people who might not normally qualify for a home loan. The FHA insures these loans so that if buyers default, the lenders will still get paid. FHA mortgage insurance and other federal mortgage programs can help first-time and minority homebuyers.
