How do I become an organ donor?
To be an organ donor, make sure your driver's license indicates your desire.
Contact your state's donor registry or department of motor vehicles through Organdonor.gov to find out how to do that.
Next, tell your family about your decision. Even if you carry an organ donor card,
they may be required to sign a consent form.

Organ donors are badly needed. As of November 2002, the
UNOS national waiting list for organ transplants contained more than 80,000 people.
