What is the chain of presidential succession?
The Presidential Succession Act of 1947 established an ordered list of government officials who would assume the office of the President in the event that the President of the United States was unable to hold the office or was removed from office. First in line is the Vice President, followed by the Speaker of the House and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. Check out the complete list at Ben's Guide to U.S. Government.
