State Elections
Voters in every state will elect members to the House of Representatives in 2008. There are 35 Senate seats being contested. Currently, the Senate is comprised of 49 Republicans, 49 Democrats and two independents. The seats up for election are held by 12 Democrats and 23 Republicans. Meanwhile, Eleven states will hold gubernatorial elections.
