How many children are waiting to be adopted in the U.S.?
In 2003, the peak age for female offenders was 16 and 17 for male offenders. Forty-six percent of females were 15 and younger, compared to 33 percent of males. There was a greater proportion of older males than females, with 16 percent of males aged 18-21, whereas only 7 percent were female.
