How much money third-party candidates raised?
In their underdog bids for the presidency, third-party candidates have significantly less funds than
Obama and McCain. Libertarian Bob Barr raised more than $1.3 million from various sources.
Individual donors were major contributors to Green candidate Ralph Nader ($4,318,765 in total funds) and
Constitution party candidate Chuck Baldwin ($258,000 in total funds). Cynthia McKinney raised nearly 200,000.
