Congratulations to NYC.gov
Throughout the crisis following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, New York City was able to provide emergency and public health information efficiently through its official home page, NYC.gov. City residents were able to find official lists of survivors and hospital patients, messages from the mayor, traffic updates and ways they could help the relief effort. The site is helpful under normal circumstances, too. Extensive information about businesses, recreation, education and more is readily available. Citizens can pay parking tickets, apply for a copy of a birth certificate and navigate the subway system. Visitors can also personalize the site by registering for My NYC.gov.
