Votes for Women
The Library of Congress compiled this collection of photographs from the women's suffrage movement.
Votes for Women contains 38 photographs taken from 1850 to 1920. You'll find portraits of leaders in the movement, such as Lucrecia Mott, Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Also available are photographs of suffrage parades, picketing suffragists and cartoons commenting on the movement. The pictures go along with the text documents of the National American Woman Suffrage Collection, 1848-1920.
