Memorial Day is traditionally a time to remember those Americans who have died in combat. The government has made research on these fallen soldiers easier by publishing information on the Internet.
The National Archives offers access to the records of Korea and Vietnam Casualties. The records are sorted by state and by last name.
The Library of Congress hosts the Vietnam POW/MIA Database, which contains 134,311 records. The database has government documents pertaining to U.S. military personnel listed as unaccounted for as of December 1991. Read the History of the Database to learn more about what you can find in there.
