National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration
In 1970, the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration was created to observe, predict and protect our environment. Some of NOAA's duties include providing weather forecasts, monitoring the environment, managing fisheries and building healthy coastlines. NOAA's sophisticated site has a lot to offer: information pages on weather topics such as floods and hurricanes; satellite images of weather around the world; and the Climate Diagnostics Center.
